Dudhia is a small place on the highway between Mirik and Siliguri. It is placed on the banks of Balason River. Dudhia is a very famous picnic spot amongst the people of Siliguri and the surrounding areas. The way to Dudhia from either Siliguri or Bagdogra is covered with forests and greenery on both sides of the road.
The landscape on the Balason river bed is completely mesmerizing and breathtaking. There are a number of manmade and natural beauties in this place. Mother Nature has blessed the place in abundance which makes it all the more enchanting. The feel of rural India still exists in the place. There are a number of tourist spots in the dudhia picnic spot which are famous amongst the tourists.
It is not flocked by very many tourists making the place still have the rural craggy spirit. Dudhia is a link to the Panighata village which is on the other side of the Balason River. Lohagadh which is a few kilometers away from the Panighata village gives a clear view to a village in Nepal, Salakpur.
It is a must visit place for people not only from North Bengal but all over the world. It takes the person closer to Mother Nature transporting them to a different place altogether. It seems as if nature is holding you in both her arms and cajoling you.
