History of Tashi Viewpoint
Tashi Viewpoint was constructed by the King of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal, who ruled the kingdom between 1914 and 1963. Since then, the viewpoint has been developed and maintained by the Sikkim Tourism Department, transforming it into a well-equipped and visitor-friendly attraction.

Key Attractions at Tashi Viewpoint
From the car parking area, visitors climb a short flight of steps to reach the viewpoint platform. The circular platform with safety railings is designed to allow a full 360-degree perspective of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and Gangtok town below. Binoculars and telescopes are available at the site and can be used by paying a small fee — ideal for getting close-up views of the distant Himalayan peaks.
