Tashi Viewpoint offers the spectacular view of peaks like Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Siniolchu , located at one of the highest hillocks in Gangtok, Sikkim. Most number of tourist visits the place during early morning to witness the beautiful sunrise and the dramatic play of lights over the mountains and hills is astonishingly wonderful to see. It is also a perfect place for the panoramic view of Gangtok.

Tashi viewpoint

Tashi viewpoint is 8 km from the famous Mahatma Gandhi Marg and it occupies the significant position in the list of most visited tourist spot of Sikkim. It was constructed by the king of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal, who ruled Sikkim between 1914 to 1963. It is now developed and maintained by the tourism department.

One has to climb some steps from the car parking to get to the viewpoint. The circular shaped platform with railings has been built so that the spectator could view 360-degree perspective of the entire region. Binoculars and telescopes are mounted there and could be used paying some amount.

Tourists are often seen taking the picture wearing traditional costumes, which could be hired from one of the stalls. The beautiful dragons are installed beautifully at the center of the park.
