On the Way to Bijanbari
Several routes lead to Bijanbari, but the original route is via Ghoom. The road is highly scenic, winding through beautiful mountain streams and waterfalls — the most famous being Hima Falls, where a charming small bridge crosses a stream that originates from the waterfall itself. Along the way you will pass through some beautiful tea gardens including Marybong, Rishihaat, and Chongthong, as well as a steep 50-foot rock known as Biswambhar Rock. There is also a viewpoint from which you can witness a panoramic view of Darjeeling town with the Kanchenjunga range of mountains and parts of Sikkim in the background.
